    This is the Winkelhaus Floral Company Float in this parade, Howell, Michigan, 1947.

    The photograph was taken as the parade moved west on Grand River Avenue.  The Howell Carnegie Library is in the background, and note, the brick street that is Grand River Avenue.

    Winkelhaus Floral Company was located at 203 West Grand River Avenue, Howell, Michigan.  It was later renamed Heller's Flowers.

    The names of the persons in the picture are unknown.

    Kristensen Motors Sales, a Lincoln-Mercury automobile dealership, was owned by Aksel Kristensen; it was located at 1225 East Grand River Avenue, Howell, Michigan.

    This is a photograph of the Standard Oil Broadcaster Float, which was advertising Standard Red Crown Gasoline.  This float was a part of a parade in Howell, Michigan, August 2, 1933.

    The parade is traveling west on the bricked Grand River Avenue, and approaches Michigan Avenue.  In the background is Baldwin's Drug Store.

    These photographs of the 4th of July Parade, Howell, Michigan, 1970, were taken as the parade marched east on West Grand River Avenue, near the intersection of Byron Road.   Several bands, drill teams, colorguard units, local businessmen, and bystanders were featured.   In the background of the car carrying Congressman Marvin Esch a partial view of the First Church of Christ Scientist building.   The building is no longer there in 2023.
