  • This is a 1972 photograph of the Cromaine Library in Hartland, Michigan.
  • This is a photograph taken from in front of the Cowrdry and Chapel building, on the northwest  Corner of Michigan Avenue and East Grand River Avenue, Howell, Michigan.  In view is South Michigan Avenue (Mill Street, Division Street); the person in the picture is unknown.  The exact year is unknown.
  • This photograph is from the "Old Brighton Village" book, 1974, and shows two images.

    In the upper left corner is the C. F. Weiss Drug Store.  It was located on the SW Corner of Main and Grand River, Brighton - 1926. On the ground level, was the Weiss Barbeque, and the upper level held dances and meetings.

    The image in the lower right corner shows Emil Keehn who brought the first hearse to Brighton in 1922.  The hearse was also used as an ambulance.

  • This is a photograph of the interior of Spence Drugs, Fowlerville, Michigan, 1904.  This drug store was later known as Woods Drugs.

    The exact address of this business is unknown.

    In this photograph is James Spencer, right and Elijah Aflect, left, 1904.

    James P. Spencer operated a drug store in Fowlerville for more than 54 years.  He died February 1921.

  • This is a photograph of Baldwin's Drug Store, 102 East Grand River Avenue, Howell, Michigan.

    According to the 1961 Howell City Director, Baldwin's Drugs was owned by Mrs. Ruth Baldwin, and managed by Paul Baldwin Jr.

    The person in the doorway is unknown.

    The store's grand opening was in October 1974, and it was owned and operated by William and Kathleen Denton.

    The store was located in the Howell Shopping Center.

  • This is an aerial photograph of the Howell Promenade Mall, Howell, Michigan, 1951.

    The view is looking south with the southeast shore of Thompson Lake in the foreground, the Livingston County Garage dated 1933 to the east, then to south, Grand River Avenue, and the Promenade Mall.   Also visible is Sutton Street off from North National and the beginnings of an industrial park.

    The I-96 Expressway had not yet been built and one can see Lucy/Fisk Road extending south, unbroken by a highway.
