  • These photographs are of employees of the Spencer-Smith Machine Shop, Roosevelt Street, Howell, Michigan.  The wall calendar is turned to February 1920.  They manufactured pistons for cars, trucks, airplanes and tractors.   Leo Baltrus is captioned on this picture, and the date 1922.

    The names of the persons and exact dates are unknown.
  • Apple Factory was located on north East Street (present day Michigan Ave.) past railroad in Howell, Michigan - 1863
  • These are photographs of Refrigeration Research Incorporated, 525 North Fifth Street, Brighton, Michigan.  The photographs also included the notation, "Hartland - E.J. Duncan".

    Refrigerator Research Inc., was founded in 1944 by Ed Bottum, who remained president until 1996, and active in the business until his death in 2001.  The business manufactured parts for the refrigeration and air-conditioning industry.  Refrigeration Research Inc., also is home to the Refrigeration Research Museum.

    Michigan Seamless Tube Company was located at 100 West Street, South Lyon, Michigan.  It was founded in 1927 by William McMunn, and manufactured cold drawn seamless tubes from old, used boiler tubes.
  • These are photographs of several homes on Whitney Street, Brighton, Michigan, with label of "Johnson Builders".

    "Johnson Construction" and "Roger Johnson Construction Company", 1155 Byron Road, Howell, Michigan, were builders during the 1950's and 1950's.

    The company also had a branch in New Hudson, Michigan.
  • This collection of photographs are of plastic products manufactured by Pinckney Molded Plastics, Inc., 450 Howell Street, Pinckney, Michigan, 1970.

    Pinckney Molded Plastics, inc., in the mid-1980's moved their factory to 3965 Parsons Road, Howell Township, Howell, Michigan.
  • This is a photograph of a Plow made at the Howell Foundry and Machine Shop, 300 block of Grand RiverAvenue, Howell, Michigan. (West Grand River Avenue, west of Center Street).

    The foundry was opened in 1865 by John Galloway and George L. Clark, and they manufactured box, cook, and parlor stoves, plows and all types of agricultural castings.

    The foundry later burned down (~1900), and the property became the site of the Howell Carnegie District Library.

    The date of this photograph is unknown.

  • This is a photograph of the addition that Pepsi-Cola Bottlling Company built in June, 1989, at 755 McPherson Park Drive. McPherson Industrial Park  was established in 1983.
  • This is a series of aerial photographs of the Pepsi-Cola Metropolitian Bottling Company, Inc., McPherson Industrial Park, Howell, Michigan, Aerial Photos, 1983.

    In photo 0024, the view is looking east with the Pepsi-Cola Plant in the foreground.  In view 0025, looking northeast over the city of Howell, Thompson Lake is in the background.  Views 0026 through 0028, the view is looking north.  Finally, in photo 0023, the view is looking east with I-96 Expressway in the foreground, and Thompson Lake in the background.  In each photo, the Pepsi Plant is in view as well as the McPherson Industrial Park.
