  • This is an aerial view of the Howell Gear Company Inc., plant on West Grand River Avenue.  Howell Gear was a divsion of the Teledyne Packard Bell.   In this south looking view is the Livingston County Airport, the factory, M-59, a farm, and possibly the Pere Marquette Railroad Tracks, in the background.  The picture was labeled  1964 but according to an article in the Livingston County Press dated May 1965, the plant was proposed to be built.

    The names of the people in the photograph are unknown.

    The Ewer Wrench & Tool Company built a 40 foot  x 100 foot cinder block building for its factory, just east of the Pere Marquette station, in  Howell, in 1910.  The factory closed and was auctioned in May 1913.

    Directors in 1910 were R. Bruce McPherson, C.A. Goodnow, L. E. Howlette, M. G. Ewer, and E. A. Bowman.
  • These 1977 photographs of Haigh Manufacturing, 6150 US-23, Brighton, Michigan, show both the exterior and interior of the factory.
  • Photographs was taken in front of the R & D Screw Products Company, 810 Fowler Street, Howell, Michigan.

    The label says "Dymond Safety Award".

    The R & D Screw Products Company was owned by William R. and Norman C. Dymond in 1961.

  • These 1980 photographs are of the interior of Rooto Corporation, a manufacturer of drain pipe solvents and cleaners, located at 3505 West Grand River Avenue, Howell, Michigan.

    The person in the photograph is unknown.
  • This is a photograph of the Fisher Tool & Die building, 115 University Drive, Howell, Michigan.  In 1960, Joseph F. Cook of Dearborn bought this tool & die factory from its founder Harry Fisher, who had founded the business sixteen years earlier.

    The year is unknown.

  • This is an aerial view of Howell Electric Motors, Company, Electric Apparatus, 409 Roosevelt Street, Howell, Michigan,  1960.

    This photograph looks northeast; north of the plant is Mt. Olivet Cemetery, and Thompson Lake.  Visible just south of the plant is the Ann Arbor Railroad Tracks, intersected by Roosevelt Street.
